Join us each Sunday for meditation instruction, practice and a short message. Teen Meditation for 13-18 and Youth meditation provided for 5-12 years olds at the same time. Childcare provided in the Angel Loft for children less than 5 years old.

The Buddhist Path: The essence of VajRayana

About the teacher:
Jon Dilley (Ngakpa Orgyen Drime Ozer) has been a Buddhist practitioner since 1999. He met his teacher, Younge Khachab Rinpoche in 2003. After making a strong connection, Jon was asked to help organize Khachab Rinpoche’s visits and retreats to KC in 2004.

Since then Jon has worked educate the Vajrayana students of the KC area. Jon has received teachings in the Kagyu, Geluk & Nyingma traditions of Tibet from Wangchuck Dorje Rinpoche, Lama Lodu, Garje Khamtrul Rinpoche, His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama & from his root Guru Younge Khachab Rinpoche. He has completed shedra courses (Buddhist University), to deepen his personal practice.
Jon teaches classes on the methods of the Vajrayana Buddhism, including lojong, ngondro & the three inner tantras. His mission is to inspire practitioners to not only learn about the Buddhadharma, but to make the practices their own and embrace the “Dharma way of thinking.”


Younge Drodul Ling

Tibetan Buddhism

Description:  Starts with a "20 minute sit" followed by discussion of Buddhist topics.  Rime Shedrub Ling-Kansas City is a non-sectarian and non-political center of traditional Vajrayana Buddhism, studying the great masters of all Tibetan lineages-Nyingma, Kagyu, Sakya and Gelug-under the spiritual direction of Younge Khachab Rinpoche.

Buddhism & 12-step recovery

Day & Time: Every Sunday, 12:30pm - 1:30pm

Where: Classroom A

Description: This group is not aligned or affiliated with any particular 12-step program or Buddhist sect. These meetings are not meant to replace other Twelve Step programs. This group also meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:15 PM in the Myrtle Fillmore Chapel.


Our meetings last one hour. Please keep that in mind so everyone gets a chance to share. When we introduce ourselves, we say our name. We are not required to state our addiction or our personal affiliation with a particular 12-step program or programs.


Halfway through the meeting we will pass the donation bowl. If you have the means, please donate. This meeting is made possible through the generosity of the Temple Buddhist Center and Unity Temple. We have business meetings after the regular Sunday meeting on the first Sunday of even months, February, April, June, August, October, and December. To date we have no trusted servants, other than meeting leaders. If you would like to lead a meeting please talk with the meeting leader after the meeting for details.

What is it?

Serenity Pause™ meditation sessions are available to people from all walks of life and from all religious backgrounds and spiritual traditions. These sessions are offered daily at scheduled times throughout the week, making it easy for you to drop by and drop in to a place of peace and serenity - away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. No previous meditation experience is necessary. Each meditation time includes meditation instruction, time to sit, and time to discuss. Both chairs and mat/cushions are provided. All Serenity Pause™ Meditation sessions are offered on a love offering donation basis.
