BRING THE KIDS! Youth Meditation and Creativity, Sundays: 9 - 10am, Myrtle Fillmore Chapel, Ages 5-16. Looking for a space where your child can learn to meditate and grow? Temple Buddhist Center's Youth Meditation is that place. Bring your child for fun, art and meditation!
Kids, bring your parents for the adult meditation class across the hall! For kids five years and younger, we provide childcare in the Angel Loft.

Join us as we help serve meals at St. Paul's Church, located at 1300 North 18th Street in Kansas City, Kansas. It's a great opportunity to serve as well as get to know other Buddhist practitioners. If you'd like to carpool, meet in the Unity Temple lobby at 8:30 am. The serving and cleanup will take until 11:30 am. Meditation and Chant at the Nelson-Atkins Museum, Third Thursday of Every Month: Next opportunity: May 16, 2013, 7:00pm -8:00pm
Join us for a remarkable opportunity to meditate and chant in front of the beautiful and internationally known Guanyin statue in the Chinese Temple Room of the Nelson. The activity is free, but do bring a mat and cushion to sit on the marble floor. Space is limited due to art safety!

Volunteer at St. Paul's Food Pantry, Saturday, May 25, 2013, 9:00am - 12:30pm. We have a NEW opportunity to volunteer in our community. We currently "help serve meals" monthly on the 2nd Saturday. We are looking for volunteers to help in the food pantry on the 4th Saturday of each month. The only pre-requisites for our volunteers are a heart for helping our Neighbors and a willingness to have fun doing it. The pantry is located at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1300 North 18th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66102. Go to the back of the church, the pantry is across from the red door downstairs in the basement.

Sangha Potluck Picnic, Saturday June 1, 2013, 11:30am - 3:00pm
Mindful Heart Meditation invites you to join us for a potluck picnic to celebrate Spring and deepen our sense of community. We have rented a shelter at Roe Park. Please bring a dish to share and your own beverage (sorry, alcohol is not allowed in the park); we'll provide the plates and cutlery. The park has a playground and a .75 mile bike trail for kids, a swimming pool ($5.00 fee for day pass to the pool ) and tennis courts. It is also along the Indian Creek Trail, and Buddhist's on Bikes will have a ride starting at 9:00 a.m. Come for a bike ride and lunch or just lunch. All are welcome.
